I've long been a passive member of this forum. Following is my timeline.

Applied to AINP H1B Category - Dec'2009
NOC - 2132
Received AINP Nomination - Jun'2010
Applied to CIC - Nov'2010
Check cashed - Jan'2010
AOR/Medical - Waiting

November/December applicatants, please share your timeline.

does anyone know that if my work permit extension is processing but I already got my ppr, do I get refund for the work permit?
as I have mentioned before, I might get the ppr within 2 weeks but my work permit expired in a month....not sure what to do...but i have already applied for the extension of work permit...
if i can get refund, how do i get it? do i have to call?

Hello All,

I am a new member to this forum. I have applied for the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) Program (US Visa Category). I sent my application in August 2010 and received Candidate AINP File Number in October 2010. Since October I have not heard from the AINP regarding my next step in the application. Its been 10 months since my application has been sent.

I believe my next step would be to receive nomination approval package. I wanted to know does it quite a bit of time to receive the AINP nomination approval.

Nomination: Jun 2010
Applied to CIC: Nov 22nd 2010
Check Encashed: Jan 19th 2011
AOR/Medicals: Waiting

Has any body in the h1b category been able to check online status?

Received an email from Buffalo office saying my file has been transferred to Detroit(I live in Tennessee). The e-case status is still "In Process- they started processing my file on Jan 25th 2010"

I see you received your nomination in June 2010. After how long you received the nomination? When did you file your application @ AINP?

PRmein, Do you know if there is delay or not (or faster processing) when a case gets transferred to a different office? If yes then, in how many days typically. Anyone who has seen a case please chime in.

I applied for the AINP program in Jan 2009 and i got the nomination in June 2010. I got my file number in may 2009 and nomination in June 2010.

Have you been able to check your online status? I have been trying using the number i have on the back side of the cashiers check and no luck. Any updates on your case? Has any body known to you and applied in NOv 10 got their medicals/AOR? Would appreciate your reply.

Hi Sreenar,

I did not try to check the status. I applied through a lawyer and I spoke to him last week. He hasn't received anything yet. I dont know anyone that has applied, all I go by is the messages that I see in this post.

you wouldn't get refund for work permit.

I remember that I saw a post in this forum, somebody had said that they got refund from the office...as they received the PR during the work permit is still in process...

as mentioned above, you would expect to receive your PPR in two weeks after your online status changes from 'in process' to 'we have received your medical"

nothing yet...stats show about 3 mos from medicals file transfers happen...anything from your end?
