CAIPS notes(it has been replaced by GCMS notes very recently) is provided by CIC on applicant's or applicant authorized persons request. We can request for GCMS notes only if we reside in Canada. if we do not live in Canada then we can authorize someone to get it for us. there are many websites out there who charge around $40 and get the notes for us. But someone on this forum mentioned that it may not be safe to authorize someone to get the notes for us as the file will have our complete details. so the third party that we authorize will have complete access to our information. so Its up to you whether or not you go through some agent/website to get the file.

Do you live in Canada? if so it costs only $5 to get it. This process usually takes 30 to 40 days from the day you request for it.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Wow! What a surprise! Are you PNP? When did you send in your application? I never heard of PNP applicant required to attend interview. Did you quit/change your job?

I think you will also get some response soon!
Sri, I have couple of questions like..
1) In the letter they mentioned that interview is only for me.. do I need to go with my wife for the interview at NY.
2) I have completed 6 years of stay in the USA on H1b, currently I got an H1b extension with approved labor petition, Do they ask for
any current immigration GC process in the USA?
I'm a bit worried about all these!

> It looks like interview is only for yourself as they had clearly mentioned in the letter. But email them immediately with all your questions.

> I don't think it will be a problem at all as long as you maintain legal status in the US. Did AINP asked you if you had applied for US GC before nomination? they asked me. still its ok to apply for GC as we are not sure of what CIC's decision will be on our application.

I am sure your application will be approved after the interview. I don't foresee any issues.

Contact seniors on this forum if you need any info or advice. Take Care.
