Good Morning,
I am a trying to figure out the best way to approach this; I would like to see what my options are to attend a college in BC. Is there any type of information I need to know about how to pay tuition like grants, scholarships, or some type of financial aid? I know that if I attend a college I can live on campus my question about this is that when the school year is over would I stay on campus or have to leave and then return when classes resume? Do I have the option to work while attending school even though I do not hold a permit that allows me to work in Canada? I appreciate any help and information that anyone will be able to provide me.

Hi

Expect that you will not receive any grants/scholarships/financial assistance here in Canada unless you are a top student and are studying a Masters or PhD at university.

Many colleges don't have on campus housing and each institution sets their own rules regarding summer housing, so that is something you need to research yourself.

You'll need to obtain a study permit to legally study in Canada. To obtain a study permit, you'll need to first be accepted by a school and program - and then apply demonstrating you have the funds to pay for your studies (bank balance equal to first year tuition + $10K in living expenses). Provided you are a full time student, you'll be able to work up to 20 hours a week off campus. Provided you remain a full time student for the duration of your studies and your studies are at least eight months in length, you should also qualify for a post graduate work permit once you complete your studies.

If you are planning to attend a college - make sure it's a public college - stay away from private colleges (bad reputations with employers, poor quality of education, no PGWP once you complete your studies).

I believe that's a public college but you should verify.

Note that you'll be paying international student fees (not domestic fees) - so make sure you take that into consideration.

Yeah I know about that. I might try taking out a student loan. to help cover the living expenses and the tuition.
You can certainly do that. The student loan will have to be taken from a bank in your home country.
