Can I work for another employer that is not designated under the AIPP and wait for the actual application to be finished?

Legally, you must inform IRCC about your employer running out of business. They may allow you to wait for the papers to come through, but they would definitely WON'T let you work for an employer who is not designated. That could cause them to send you back your application and/or never let you apply again.
