Hello,

I am in the process of getting my PR application in. I have been having trouble identifying which would be the correct NOC code for one of my previous jobs.

I worked as a sales agent at a call centre for sears warranty (dishwasher, washing machines etc warranty sales). I am not sure if that falls under technical sales.

Any assitance would be grateful.

Thanks,
Nashid

Well, hard to say without knowing your duties, don't you think?
Check: http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/ProfileQuickSearch.aspx?val=6&val1=6221&val65=6411
And see if the duties match your position.

Basically it was out bound telephone sales.

I was at a 3rd party call centre where customers are automatically dialed for me and there Sears profile would pull up with their purchase history.

I would introduce myself and try to convince them to get warranty on Appliances that they own. That is basically it

Not the greatest time of my life but just want to make sure everything is solid before i submit the PR application.

Thanks,
Nashid

Would Warranty for Electrical equipment count as technical sales. I dont specifically see warranty in the technical sales list but i did have to mention the type of damages that could occur to their electrical equipment.

It all comes back to the duties.
Check and compare:

1. NOC 6411 http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=6411
and
2. NOC 6221 http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=6221

The first one would not qualify for CEC.

Neither of these would fit, since they are both wholesale and it sounds like the OP was dealing directly with retail customers. It would probably be 6552 -
