Hi all

I have a simple question to ask. Can I get help about how to assemble the application to submit to CIC?

While watching Help-Video on CIC, they simply collect the pages and put them in an envelope, without stapling, clipping or arranging in any folder.

I am planning to add separator for each section and arrange documents according to checklist. Punch documents and put them all in a plastic folder before inserting them in the envelope.

I'm all ready to submit the application. So please if I can get some assistance as soon as possible would be highly appreciated.

Thanks a lot in advance

Best regards

Do not do that. Do not punch or staple documents. You may put them ALL together "as they are" in ONE plastic sleeve and put it in envelope.

Thanks a lot Regina for your answer.
So this means not even the separators, just put loose papers in order of document checklist. and that's all, right?

In section 'Proof of Relationship', my uncle (Canadian citizen) doesn't have his birth certificate. So we wanted to give some explanation about it and we wrote it on a separator which was suppose to be on top of 'Proof of Relationship' documents.

For such explanations, where can we add them? (We have a couple of more explanations)

Thanks in advance

would you happen to have the link to the video? I have been looking for it but have not found it.

more likely than not, when cic receives your package they are going to take it all a part and organize it per their protocols. there's really no point in using binders or separators. if there is an issue with a document, either make a note about the issue on the checklist and refer them to the typed paper, or you can provide an index to point them to the information.

when i submitted my paperwork, i used paperclips to separate the sponsor's app and the applicant's app and relationship proof were. i then clipped it all together and put it into 1 envelop. if they got rid of the paperclips, so be it.
