Hi, I need some advice. I received ITA on 11 jan 2023 which is valid till 11 march 2023. I got my PCC in Dec 2022. I recently visited my home country (India) in Feb for 15 days. Is my PCC still valid for express entry? My lawyer said it is valid till June but I still want to confirm it.

For the country where you currently live
The police certificate for the country where you currently live:
- must be issued no more than 6 months before the date you submit your application
- must not be expired
For any other country, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you stayed there for 6 months or more in a row.
Some countries put expiry dates on their police certificates. If you have a police certificate that expired, include it. We’ll accept it if:
- it was issued after the last time you stayed there for 6 months or more in a row
- it is not for the country where you currently live
I already applied for a new PCC, is there any chance that they will refuse my application because of this reason?

I did submit a pcc of December 2021 from India in Feb 06 2023 and my MEP/BIO cleared on 24 Feb 23
Actually there is a famous immigration consultant on youtube named (ask kubeir). He uploaded a short video on youtube some months ago in which he told that someone's application was refused because of invalid pcc and pcc is the most common reason for PR application refusals. This is why I got scared.
Yes He said it in one of his videos but I dont know why because most of the other people are saying we are good if we not live outside canada more than six months.
I just consult with an immigration lawyer about the validity of an Indian PCC and he said- (
I agree that there is lots of confusing information regarding the expiry of PCCs. I have always taken the position that if your PCC was issued more than 6 months ago and you return to that country (even for 1 day), that this invalidates the PCC. The reason I take this position is because I have had consultations with people over the years who have had their applications refused because of this.
However, in the case of your PCC issued by BLS, this PCC would be valid for 6 months from the issue date of December 10, 2022. Provided we filed your eAPR within that 6 month time period, it will remain valid no matter how many times you return to India during that time. This would take us into June 2023 before it would expire.)
