Hi there I was wondering if I got a dentist office to arrange an employment and applied for the skilled worker category to get my PR and after obtaining the PR the dentist decided not to hire me or I got in conflict of interest with him or I decided not to work for him. would that affect my PR status at all ?

And couple of general questions. once I obtained the PR do I have to live right away in canada ? does it expire ? Thanks in advance

any help guys ? Thanks

Nothing will affect u once u get PR....

AEO is almost 6-8 months process....and once u receive AEO then u have to apply for FSW2.

Once u get PR u need to show stay of 730 days out of 5 years for renewal.

Hi talazahid,

If the employer decides NOT to hire you after you receive your PR, then you are ok. You are free to work for anyone after you get your PR.

You have to show physical presence in Canada for 730 days (2yrs) out of a 5 yr period. PR status would expire if you do not maintain the "Physical presence" rule; and you have to apply afresh for PR.

whether the employer decides to hire u or not after u receive PR doesnt matter...u have every right to not to work for him...

AEO is just an offer...not a contract that binds u to work for the employer for so and so period.

But its not a right thing to do unless u have a genuine reason....as in future the employer will have problem if he/she wants to apply AEO for some one else.
