No. Do you see any reason for the drop? Why would they drop? They are already getting enough people to meet targets.

Not impossible, only very very unlikely. It depends on how many ITAs that CIC issue and how many candidates are in any backlog.

If CRS were to decline to the 450 range I would expect it to do so gradually over a period of several months rather than a quick drop from 480 to 450 - the only way that could realistically happen would be if CIC issued thousands of ITAs more than they have been doing historically.

That said, as I've argued in the past, I have absolutely no expectation that CRS will drop lower than 460-470 in the foreseeable future. There's just generally very little in the way of precedent for such large drops (such as between draws 5-6 in March 2015) and even that was when there would have been far, far fewer people in the pool. I'd suggest that there are far too many in the pool now for that to happen again, unless there are either many many more ITAs issued or the CRS rules change.

Is it possible that scores drop from example 480 to 450 in one or 2 draws, can it happen

No - won't happen. Way too many applicants in the 450 to 480 range.

It will take atleast 4 draws of 1500 ITAs to drop the score to 450.

Drops are possible, but it has to be gradual.

As much as everyone in the 450-460 range would like the scores to drop all of a sudden, we also need to take into consideration the sheer number of applicants that will be needed to be invited...and that volume could adversely affect processing times of all applicants.

CIC may take several more months (realistically speaking) to clear the volume of applicants waiting for the past months.

My score is 459 right now and am awaiting for my spouse ielts result to increase and she will retake the exam soon since we are not expecting great scores from her last attempt,i didnt create the ee profile untill now .

If your scores can increase to 480 or better, then well and good, sit tight and wait for the draw.
If your score is below that, you might want to try provincial nomination and other options because the cut off scores might be that high for a few more draws (and no one is certain as to when the 'big drop' will actually happen)

Unfortunately the max i can reach is 471 and dont even think its possible depending on my wifes scores, logicall speaking i will be in the 460s specially that will have a reduction in a couple of months due to age factor and i think pnp is not an option for me since i am a dentist.

You can opt for an PNP. No reason why a dentist can't get a nomination..

I think i cant because am a licensed profession and my job is not in the demand list

Friends:

It's a prerogative of IRCC to decide the CRS cut off, and the number of ITA's to be released.

It is possible; if the frequency and the size of draws are larger.

In the past on several occasions the Minister, other officials have declared starting Sep, the CRS will decrease and the ITA's will increase

to tackle the inventory backlogs.

I thought that the PNP programme especially Ontario PNP, was open for all applicants with 400 points and above. Irrespective of the profession

I think only ontario is accepted for my case, but its closed for now and as far as i know their processing times are very long

Yes sudden drops can happen.

In the history of EE draws, you have some good examples :

538 to 491 in August-September 2016.

534 to 484 in May 2016.

735 to 481 in March 2015.

755 to 482 in June 2015.

With CIC, almost everything is possible.
