Hi,
I am being sponsored by my husband who is a dual US-Canadian citizen and I am a US citizen. We've been together for almost 10 years (since university) and lived together for a while in the US, then long-distance, then we lived together again in the US and got married a year ago before he moved back to Canada (I came with him to visit on a Visitor Record). What do we need in terms of proof that our relationship is genuine? So far, I have:
Marriage certificate
A few cards from family/friends for our wedding
Wedding photos
Receipt of purchase of wedding rings
A printout of our wedding gift registry
A printout of a joint bank account statement
A printout from my retirement account showing that he's the beneficiary
Copies of leases from 3 apartments we've lived in together (showing us both on the lease)
Wedding photos, with just us and also with various family members, and also photos of the ceremony itself and reception
Photos of us together on various trips, including trips to visit each of our families together and photos of us at my sister's wedding, and photos from a trip where both of our families got together for a holiday before we were married
Photo of my engagement ring (an heirloom from his family)
Printout of about 150 emails between us (mostly saying mundane things like "can you pick up milk on your way home" or "what do you want to do this weekend?". But also discussing visits to see each other while we were long-distance
Also, we have both described all the details of our meeting and how our relationship developed in attachments to the forms where that is asked.
I am just worried because we don't have boarding passes from trips together (it never occurred to me to save any of that stuff, honestly, although I could probably print out trip confirmation emails from a couple of recent trips), or phone bills (I could print out our recent cell phone bills, but that seems weird--I am currently in Canada visiting him, so we of course call each other during the day but mostly we just spend time together at home). What do you think?
Am I missing anything else?
Thanks for reading!
