MP can do very little if processing speed similar to others. IRCC has actually started vetting applications so processing is getting longer. Parents are also visiting Canada on supervisas with no plans of returning home. Many are filing H&C or asylum so IRCC is also being more cautious. Both extremely bad ideas for anyone considering this unless you have very strong grounds for asylum. The H&C program is going to have to be reformed and eliminating parents from qualifying will likely be on the top of the list.

Thank you. Yes even processing time was showing after few weeks of submission 79 days only. So don't rely on processing time. They take time to process the applications. I know for us its frustrating but nothing can do without waiting. Hope for the best.

Would suggest people compare processing times with others applying from their home country. That is typically the best predictor of actual processing time.

Need advice.

I need to send passport for stamping. In VFS form (Two Way Courier Service) i have one query and for that your guidance will be highly appreciated. what should i select? Yes or No. We did Biometric at the time of Visitor Visa application in 2021 and super visa we have not given Biometric as we already did in 2021.

My suggestion is always collect your passport from VFS for many reasons. Safety of passport, because they have a tie up and daily get many passport delivered safely ( track record) while single passport at your residence becomes a fight between you and courier, if you dont recieve. Secondly we may not be present at the time of delivery and better to collect from VFS at our convenience

Thank you very much! I understand that waiting is challenging, but I believe it will be worthwhile once the results are positive.
Not sure about the timeline for passport stamping ,my mom will submit the passport very soon and i am also looking for the reply for this question, who already received the passport stamped back.

Hi All
I applied for my parent's supervisa (currently living in India)on April 5, 2025 as per following timeline:-
Date of Application - April5, 2025
Biometric :- April 12, 2025
Medical - No request received
Refusal Letter received on September 24, 2025 stating following reasons
"I am refusing your application because you have submitted limited evidence of your establishment in Canada. Your inviter in Canada also did not provide a Notice of Assessment/T4 document nor the size of the family in Canada."

Generic refusal letter stated that
"I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/section-179.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.
• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).

Circumstances and key info for application
Father - Age-79 Yrs - Retired from Indian Airforce 40 yrs ago and then worked in a Bank and retired in 2007. Had his by-pass surgery in 2017, all well since then.
Mother - Age 76 Yrs - Retired from state govt job in 2008 - Pensioner
I am a PR since Feb 2023, did some consulting work, had business income and NOA has a $0.
Then I started my job in Canada in Jan 2025 I had no T4 therefore I submitted a support letter from my employer (Provincial Crown Corporation) and Salary slip for 3 months and my bank statement. My own income was enough for the LICO threshold. We will be 6 people including my parents.
I also submitted an assets report duly certified by the Chartered Accountant which included a house in my mother's name, bank account and fixed deposits retained by may parents which in totality were of the tune of $100,000.

I seeking for help to understand what went wrong with the application?
Can I appeal?
If I re-apply what I can do differently as the circumstances will be the same again.
Is applying a normal visitor visa will be easy and better option before I try for Supervisa again?
