Why? I assumed that the ombudsman had a way of checking and seeing how long IRCC took to answer cases and stuff for ATIP and could compile the relevant statistics. But if it's the case that the ombudsman doesn't actually know about these things unless we report each one individually to them, then, it makes for a much stronger case about the need to go about filing such complaints.

One thing to understand, so I need to wait for at least 60 days before I can file a complaint or do I go ahead and file the request since it already passed 30 calendar days?

You can file now since you never got the notification. (Also note that if you had gotten that notification, you could still file now if you disagreed with the reasons or thought it was otherwise unreasonable... then it's up to the ombudsman's office to decide if you're right or not. So it's only if you both get the notification and agree that it's reasonable that you have to wait out the full sixty.)

Complain and copy your MP, that way at least they hear about this mess.

Hi, did you get an update, I was told exactly the same but I already have my background completed, please let me know how it turned out for u.

It turned well as my application has been completed and my oath date is July 8

Sometime early April. Waiting on background and prohibition now. What about you? Any updates today?

I’m still waiting for Background and Probation check completion, Language done, Physical Appearance done, Citizenship Test done, waiting for my background checks and probation…….Applied in April 28 2025

It’s only valid for a year, so if their app is near completion it will be requested again

My bad, I saw July 2026 instead of 2025 - now it makes sense, thank you.

I'm in a similar situation actually - i got my only FP request roughly a year ago now, but haven't gotten a second one yet...

For my wife's GCMS notes, under location it says grant: RAU. Would you know what it means? Is it Risk assessment unit?

Under clearance, it now says both security and criminality clearance passed. CIT CSIS screening status says no reportable trace.
