Did you check with IRCC that why It is taking longer than usual. Because Usually for Sponsorship approval it takes 1-2 days. And BIOMETRIC AND Medicals are requested with in two weeks.

I did. But they are saying it is "in progress" and no other steps are required at the moment.

April outland applicant. Below is the timeline on PR trakcer :
April 12 : Application submitted
Aug 12 : AOR
Aug 17 : Eligibility in progress, medical completed, background not started and biometrics received
Received 10-12 ghost updates in between
September 29 : Pre- arrival, eligibility completed, background completed
