@Fa2 @MikeEH did you get any update on the application. For my wife, everything is set to complete except for oath. For me no updates apart from test and background check which was completed long time back (21-Nov-2021 and 25-Jan-2022),

Asking this as our timelines are same.

There is a lot you can choose from when you search in our Apple store:

Canadian Citizenship (Alpaca Software)
Canadian Citizenship Test (Spurry, Inc.)

https://www.citizenshipsupport.ca/

But you can use the free ones as well

https://www.yourlibrary.ca/citizenship
http://www.thecanadiantest.com/citizenship-test/1
https://www.apnatoronto.com/canadian-citizenship-test-practice/
Apnatoronto has a citizenship test preparation course which is pretty good
https://www.apnatoronto.com/topic-by-topic-questions/

And also the 414 questions in youtube are great:

Good luck with your test!

Many congratulations to all of you who got through the test and took the Oath guys. I had been patiently waiting for an invitation to appear in the test and I got invited today.

Would like to learn about your experiences with regard to the test. Would reading the guide on the Government's website be sufficient or would I need to go through additional reading material to pass the test comfortably? Please feel free to share any tips related to the test. Thanks.
Read the book at least twice.

There is a lot of free resources

I’m a February applicant from Vancouver in the same boat. I have not taken the test yet. No update or test invite since my BG verification turned to completed :-(

Application delivered by mail: February 9, 2021
AOR: April 13, 2021
Fingerprint required: September 15, 2021
Fingerprint received: October 28, 2021
Background verification status updated to completed: October 29, 2021

Last update: October 29, 2021
Every application is different but if it follows the current trend from other applicants, after BG has been completed it is taking from 5 to 7 months to receive the test invite, all depends on the local office processing the application as well.

After test, how long does it take to receive oath. any idea? Also, they ask everyone for passport copies or randomly?

@raultest @Fa2

No movement for me either since the 25th of January. My guess is that we are probably in whatever holding pool there is as people from May, June etc are now getting called for Oaths.

Scarborough office gonna keep us waiting

It's very frustrating, i don't know what kind of processing they are doing at Scarborough office . I also saw may and June are having oath. When April applicant are still waiting. We have done our tests four months ago.

This is the official statement in IRCC website, again it varies by the local office processing your application, the type of application and other factors.

In most cases, the ceremony takes place 3 to 4 months after you pass the test.

  • The timeframe may vary by application.
  • If your application is non-routine
    • you may have to attend a hearing with a citizenship officer or judge, even if you pass the test
    • it may take longer than 3 to 4 months before you can go to the ceremony
  • Wait for us to invite you to the ceremony.
You can also check your application status.

In average I have seen oath invites coming between 4-8 months after test.

Passport request is random, only if they need to confirm something with our physical presence.
