Me and my partner checked both applications for 5(!) times line by line. And then I offered to check it once again. And you know what, we found 1 box which wasn’t ticked. Fortunately it wasn’t returned, because we fixed it before sending but I know how it feels.
Which box was it?

Hello Lovely members
Are you sure I have to file in new application or just the pictures to be sent with old application

It says :- Note :- the date of signature on the orignal application will still be used for physical calculations.
All the required documents based on the document checklist oh the form for a grant of citizenship ( CIT-0002)
Below is from application guide :

Note: Your application will be returned to you if it is:

  • not signed and dated
  • dated more than 90 days before we receive it
  • post-dated (dated into the future)
  • make sure that the date of signature on the application and the date on the physical presence calculator printout are the same
You should make sure that your application is not dated more than 90 days before they receive it. If IRCC specifically mentioned resending the same application just add missing docs then resend it if they did not, take note of the above before you send it back.

So basically, the date on the application needs to be within 90 days, but the picture itself can be taken within 6 months (aka date at the back of the picture can be within 6 months).

In my returned application due to photo missing, there was a red seal at the bottom of the main application, saying received Mar 10,2020.

Yes, these are the requirements. With how things are so slow nowadays, I will not take the chance.

Per FB post, one april app is returned due to missing date on the photos. I think April 14 app...

Damn, I started a new thread - sorry! I'm in the same boat as Tarundhingraa. Application also received April 19th, letter dated August 19th to say photos not stamped.
So I have to submit a new application form too?

The only thing you need to be careful is the date in the application. It should be dated within 6 months of the receiving date by IRCC. You can submit the same contents of the application and just change the date where you signed. I would also attach a new calculator sheet and update it with current date.

Thank you. I'm returning everything they sent back to me plus another application form with today's date and a new physical presence calculator. I've written cover letter to explain .

Actually according to the IRCC's website the application shouldn't be dated more than 90 days (3 months).

Did he mention the reason why the application was returned?

How long did it take them to send him the application back from the date he had sent the application?

Did he receive AOR prior to them sending him the application back?
