@legalfalcon My latest set of GCMS notes shows that the officer requested the reassessment of our medical examination on March 30. Since then, my online account shows that my medicals are being reviewed and to date the officer did not come back to my file. Is it normal for them to take so long for an extension? From what I can gather here and there it only seems to take a couple weeks for them to make a decision. I haven't even been asked to retake a medical examination but I would be happy to oblige if needed...

In many cases the medicals may not have been updated. Usually the reassessment takes only 1-3 weeks.

What options do I have at this point? Last time I raised a webform about it I only got a generic response…

You do not have to worry. If your meds were sent for reassessment, they will be updated soon.

Unfortunately, there is nothing that you can do. You will just have to wait.

Also, see if your eligibility is conclusively passed or not recommended passed.

@legalfalcon there is no officer note but the eligibility is conclusively passed. below is the response from MP.

"The good news is that there are no red flags or significant issues to report! IRCC is still working on your application. Specifically, they told me that you have passed your eligibility assessment, your criminality assessment is in progress, and your security assessment has not been started. I know this process is taking a long time; IRCC assured me this is very typical for applications at the moment, due to the backlog created by COVID-19. As per usual, IRCC will be in touch with you directly should they require more documentation from you or are ready to proceed with the next steps."
