I had an invitation from a family member
all documents were complete, 50,000 CAD with a stable job with insurance, I own an apartment. my husband and my parents are here in my home country
the purpose was to visit my relatives in Canada, however the person who invited me was here in my home country for a visit the time I received rejection letter, could that be the reason?

The person who invited you, how are you related? Was their a purpose behind visiting? Like a wedding? What did the person wrote in the invitation (you do not have to be specific)?

Since the rejection reason is "Purpose", that's I am curious about what did you guys show as purpose?

Hi All,
my wife applied for TRV Online application. Below timelines.

Application Submitted : April 17, 2019
Submission Confirmation : April 17, 2019
Biometrics Collection Letter : April 18, 2019
Biometrics Submitted : April 24, 2019 [VFS Chandigarh]
Biometrics Updated on Account : April 24, 2019
Visitor Acknowledgement Letter : May 2, 2019 [New Delhi Office]

There is no change on the Review of eligibility & background check since the application is submitted. It is still as below :

Review of eligibility : Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility.
Background check : We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Is this delay normal as the eligibility status hasn't changed still? I have seen in this thread people got Ack Letter after May 2 and got PPR.

This is the second time my wife has applied for TRV, first time she applied before our marriage on her own. this time I sent the invitation letter.
I hope this time she gets it.

As you might have read - Every file is different and processing times are just estimates. And moreover every country has its own processing time.
Since you are from India and processing time is 13 days (generally, people consider working days here). If you are over this, raise a CSE, but that will also take 7-28 days.

It's just the matter of time and patience for now. Keep an eye on online account, not every time you'll get a mail when your account is updated. All the best and I hope you get the decision soon.

Nothing yet. This wait is killing me. Received acknowledgement letter on May 06 and no update since then.

Most people have atleast a week after Ack. Letter. Give it time my friend.

Is the correspondence letter same as visitor acknowledgement letter?

No, Ack. Letter is just a notification that your file with bio is now with your local office for processing. Correspondence letter is actually the biometrics validity letter and is usually followed by decision. In my mom's case they were 1 week apart.

my friend trv got refused 3 times , need help

please help what to do now , re-apply instantly or he should wait .

You can always reapply at anytime, after working on the rejection reasons.

What to expect?

If you login into my CIC account and click on application , you should have bio metrics number and expiry date.

Passport expiry doesn't matter. If the visa is still valid, you can use old passport with visa + new passport for travel purpose.

Multiple entry visa
While valid, a multiple entry visa will let you travel to Canada for six months at a time as many times as you want. It will be valid for up to 10 years or one month before your passport expires, whichever is shorter. You must arrive in Canada on or before the expiry date on your visa.

I guess usually people get a decision within 20-30 mins of Correspondence letter. For me it has been around 2 hours! Still nothing. I am getting anxious. Anyone else got any update today?

Allow them atleast 24 hrs. It could be same day and or atleast next day.
They are busy as many people have applied. As @myra20sharma told patience is key man.
