How soon did you receive your passport after PPR

PPR - April 24th
Passport submitted - April 25th
Online account went approved with visa details - April 26th
Stamped passport recvd - April 27th

This is for my mom, IRCC Delhi, India for processing overall but stamping happened in Chandigarh, India IRCC office

Hi @21singh, @myra20sharma I have pretty similar timeline! I applied for my Mother's TRV (2nd application as first application got approved in 2017 but the passport expired in January 2019 so applying for another visa)

Application Submitted:- 15 April 2019 (Online)
Submission Confirmation:- 15 April 2019
Background status changed to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." on 16 April 2019 and few hours later got Biometric request letter
Biometrics Request:- 16 April 2019
Biometrics Submitted:- 25 April 2019 (VFS Delhi)
Biometrics Updated on Account:- 25 April 2019

No Updates since then. No Biometric Validity letter, No emails. Anyone else in the same boat?

I have the same timeline !!

Only biometric validity letter received on April 27 via email.

Biometric submitted VFS Delhi April 26.

Biometrics are mandatory, so that visit is for all. Passport request are for those, who's files are approved. So, not everyone who goes for biometrics is called to submit their passport.

Yes, paper file is also the option. Yes that is one visit, provided person gets biometrics done the same day. Some VFS, does not allow walk-in for biometrics and appointments are mandatory. That ways, again two visits.

Note - To skip a third visit, make sure to ask for the courier service at the VFS counter.

Also note, VFS courier service is INR 600 per person.

You can save time if you take courier service. Depends on your need and convenience to visit VFS!

Acknowledgment Letter - means your File has reached IRCC (you'll get it after bio are done)
Correspondence Letter - means your Bios are validated and decision is coming soon .

Well, I cannot quantify generically. But it took 20 mins from Correspondence >> PPR in my mom's case.

Just received the passport request. Here is my timeline.

Applied online: April 12, 2019
Biometrics: April 15, 2019
Acknowledgement letter: May 06
Correspondence Letter: May 07
Passport Request: 20 minutes after Correspondence.

Can anyone please suggest where to submit the passport and which documents to submit along. Can my wife submit in Chandigarh?

Yes, just walk-in to your nearest VFS office with the original passport and the letter you got on your online account - "Original Passport request".

And there you'd have two options;
1. To pick up from processed passport when they ask you to
2. Take courier service, so your processed passport is delivered at your home, this have some fee around INR 600 (ish).
