No update means? Same like me?
I have not received biometric validity letter even, but biometrics are reflected in the CIC account.

Exactly the same like you. I didnt recvd anything at all from VFS but when I checked my CIC account seems like its moving. But this is taking so long compared to 2weeks processing of others. Makes me worry

Processing times are estimates and every file is different, this is what I have learnt so far, thanks to this forum and all the experts.
You would not receive anything from VFS, even there tracker is also not up to date sometimes.

I understand your situation, I have been in the same in past. If your background is in progress then your processing is started. Just so you know, the Acknowledgement email will come to your email and not online account. So, check your spam folder as well for that. While Biometric Validity a.k.a the correspondence letter will come in the online account, followed by the decision.

In my mother's case (one applicant application), Acknowledgment came 2 days after the Biometrics were done and were updated in her online account. And after 7 day she got her Correspondence Letter and Passport Request, 20 mins apart.
Processing time was 13 days. Application filed - 2 April. Biometrics done 15 April. Acknowledgment recvd 17 April. Correspondence/Bio Validity 24 April. PPR 24 April.

my parents passports were dispatched from ircc today! Their cic account status changed to APPROVED with document status:

UCI
Document (counterfoil)

After you receive the biometric acknowledgement letter from IRCC via email, another 7 days after that. (approx)
