Can someone please add me to the sheet:
Place of application: Toronto
Physical Presence: 1240 days
Family of 2: Me and daughter, wife decided not to apply
Application received: 3rd April
Processing started: July 31
Notice of Citizenship test: August 6th
Test given and passed: August 26th

Called today seems test was issued without any background or residency or language requirement completed. So anticipating a long wait here.

They can be outside of the country during the processing of the application. They will just need to inform IRCC that they are out of the country.
However, they will need to come back to Canada for the test/interview and Oath ceremony. If it is not possible to come back to Canada then they can choose to withdraw the application.

I just checked my daughter’s application status. It say processing starts Aug. 27 and decision made. Please update. Thank you..

Is it possible to keep the application on hold instead of withdrawing?

No. However, when the test invite/oath is received it can be rescheduled.
This cannot be done in advance and they must wait for the invitation to be received from IRCC.
