I contacted Ralph Goodale's office today and here is the response I received -

"Dear xxxx - I spoke to IRCC regarding your application received Apr 18, 2019. It is in Montreal.

Standard processing time is 6 months. This means 80% of routine applications are completed within that time frame, while 20% take longer.

Criminality passed.

Eligibility requires review.

Security checks have not been initiated. They cannot be expedited and timelines are not available.

Medicals are valid until Mar 2020.

Sincerely,"

Says Criminality passed. Not sure if it means they are going to process my application any sooner. Any idea??

Thanks.

Hi
Aor April 18
Med May 30
ADR (RCMP and Biometrics) May 30
Biometrics June 9
Cec outland
RCMP uploaded on 19 July, it has been 2 months the status is same, it just shows additional document uploaded.
I’m worried as my 6 months timeline will end in 30 days.
Good luck everyone.
this is fine ~ You can call CIC to ask if they received your RCMP ~ sometime they don't change the status but doesn't mean they didn't open it

So running out of patience now, only 28 days remaining. No updates since the last 4 months. This is really frustrating.
Anybody any idea why is it taking so much time?

I have friends who got their PR in just 3 months. why are they taking so much time now ?

I am in you shoes buddy. As long as you don't hear bad news, it is reason enough to stay positive. Did you get your status from Ralph Goodale's office?

It is written :You wish to report important changes, such as a change in contact information, births, deaths, marriages, divorces, adoptions, changes in employment, withdrawal of application, refund request, or urgent requests.
they talking about birth, I think you can wait , maybe you will be lucky to get PR before delivery.

AOR:April 4th
Biometrics:May 17th

From 26th August, neither eligibility not security were started.

Still absolutely nothing since and only 14 days left until six months.

The system is genuinely a joke.

I have read what response other people have got from Ralph, and it is not satisfying or relieving. So i am going to skip that.
I just want CIC to at let me know what's happening so that i can plan my things accordingly.
For now i'm holding everything on this. this 6 month wait is really getting to my nerves.

Also anyone have an idea, if they reject my PR, will my RPRF money be refunded ?
