Checked account this morning and application was approved. Havent received the passport back yet from Ottawa and no msgs in account. I'm guessing we should be receiving the passport in the next couple of days. Good luck everyone! The long journey is finally over!

only canadian citizens can sponsor while living outside of canada. if the sponsor is just a PR, they must be in Canada at the time of applying and must remain in Canada for the duration of the application

  • you can’t sponsor someone if you are a permanent resident living outside Canada

CoPR issued!!! Ottawa says I need a commercial invoice from Fedex, which I thought I already included, so once that's sorted out, I'll have the passport back!

I had the same issue with FedEx when my COPR came back in December. Call FedEx and explain that it is not commercial merchandise but immigration documents. When I did this, FedEx contacted customs and it was let through without me needing to send a commercial invoice.

I actually did include some kind of customs form with the prepaid envelope. But thanks for the tip to call Fedex if there's an issue! I'll do that if it gets stuck in customs.

I responded to the email saying "look inside the envelope," and they were like "Oh. Ok, I found it."

Hello everyone
My husband applied spousal visa outland application on 24 may 2017 and it reached visa office on 29 may 2017. As i already have tourist visa for canada i reached canada in may and i got my medical call on 12 july and background and police check certificate done and submitted on 23 july and then i got back to india in september and i got medical passed in my account and my application reached delhi visa office on 26 september 2017 ,since then no update while that i travelled to canada in december again and living here on tourist visa. Does anyone among may applicants got ppr? Or any updates please
