FINALLY i was able to link my application.

after trying all the different combinations of info posted by other users, what worked for me was:

Application number
UCI
City of birth blank (or 1 space)
Country of bith
province + city intending to live in
status: married

and the magic number (that previously tried and did not work before)

number of applicants: 4......myself the sponsor, my wife the principal applicant, 2 dependants non-accompanying

I sympathise with others having difficulties linking their app.....the inconsistency of what works and what does not is so frustrating and infuriating

We got "Decision Made" as well, so hopefully next week we will get an e-mail. I just hope that I will also get a request to submit Schedule A and a police certificate, because it worries me that I didn't get it yet. Maybe that's normal though?

Yeah I think that be called normal as every applicant is having their own unique type of issue on a different timeline. Try not worrying, I myself haven't received any type of communication from the office yet.

Congrats on getting that done with, for sure that process in itself can be very frustrating. Thank you for sharing. Hopefully that helps the other applicants still giving it a try.

3. When you get AOR, we link the application. When do they ask for Schedule A, Police Certificate, and Medical? Is it like the below order?

AOR will give the sponsor and sponsored instructions to link application.
After linking application, an email is sent from CIC to submit Schedule A and Police Certificat.
SA letter will come with instructions to submit medicals

I just want to know the intervals. My spouse is trying to get the police certificate done in India. I just want to be better prepared!

I'm an April 4th applicant but have still not received any communication. That would make it 18 business days. Some have received it as early as 13 days. Different offices are working at different speed depending on the amount of applications and the complexity of each of them. Check the link in my signature to have a general idea. AOR to SA follows the same path with 'maybe' a lower number of days average

Take a look on here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/apply-where.asp . Seems that only the New Delhi one processes Spouse Sponsorship applications.

AOR will give the sponsor and sponsored instructions to link application. I believe both the sponsor and the applicant receive emails to ask them to link the application
After linking application, an email is sent from CIC to submit Schedule A and Police Certificate. If your online account has a message requesting for those then yes
SA letter will come with instructions to submit medicals The applicant will receive medical instructions, unless the sponsor is the representative

I'm not sure what the protocol is here for posting the timeline, I am a newbie.
I am a Canadian citizen sponsoring my common law partner from Argentina. We sent out application on April 27th and the receieved an sms from the IRCC mailroom confirming receipt of our application on April 28th.
I guess now we just wait for our AOR!

Most applications do not follow a fixed pattern. We got AOR and Sponsor approval but no docs request yet. Also time lines vary.

If your wife's address in India is the same as on her passport she should get her police clearance certificate on the very same day via the passport sevva Kendra.

If you are already a citizen, there's no need for you to have it. If you are a PR, you might want to have one already available on hand so when requested (hopefully not), you'll be able to send it right away.

This also happened to us and we didnt include my supplementary form and our application was returned. Just pray that the officer that will check your app will be lenient.
