April 2015 citizenship Applicants

Hello everyone,

I see alotof people whose file was transffered to the office responsible for their area on July and recieved their invitation for the test.

below is mine is it normal that i still didn't get the invitation?

What is your local office?

Don't worry your tyrn will arrive, hopefully this month... there one guy in April who has quite the same time line as yours and just got a test invitation

Finally i got my invitation to the citizenship test ;D But they did a strange mistake, they sent it by email to the immigration consultant that i used when i applied for the PR 6 years ago, and i am sure my email is updated as they sent me the AOR by email on the correct email address. Thank god he reached out to me and forwarded me the email.

Also ecas was not updated it is still showing: We started processing your application on June 11, 2015.

I am from Montreal and here is my timeline:

App Sent: 12/04/2015
App Rec'd: 15/04/2015
AOR by email: 14/05/2015
eCAS Activated: 15/05/2015
Processing Started:11/06/2015
Invitation Rec'd by email:13/10/2015
Test Date: 10/11/2015

Seems we're going to be taking the test the same day in the same office

Have you been invited to the downtown montreal office too?

I am in Ottawa, well living in Gatineau now but i got my PR through federal in Ottawa

btw, i didnt get a booklet or anything should i start studying or do they give enough time to study once they let me know with the test date?

They usually give you enough time. Between 2 to 4 weeks... got my test invite yesterday for Nov 10th.

So since I see no real movement in GTA, I ordered ATIP last night, it will take a month to get the results I guess,

Lets wait and see which one comes first, ATIP or test invite!!!

Partner did the test today, passed! Wahoo!!! Officer stated about 2-4 months until the Oath ceremony. Relatively friendly staff.

Hello all,

I had my citizenship test last week in Calgary and I passed with full marks 20/20

Since my AOR was in April 2015, I decided to post here.

My timeline:
1. Applied in March 2015
2. They rcvd files in April 2015
3. AOR rcvd in April 2015.
4. In Process in mid-July 2015.
5. Test invite letter rcvd in end of September 2015.
6. Test in first week of October 2015.
7. Decision Made status on 12 October 2015.
8. Oath invite - Awaiting.

Hope this helps other people at different stages.

Please share material/Website/Book how u prepare ur Citizenship test.

I did receive my test invite via postal mail but if you dint get one till your test date, I believe you can just print the pdf one or you can contact cic and ask them about how to proceed.

I got a paper invite in the mail but I didn't get an email. I think they typically do one or the other.

I just wanted to share that I'm about to take the test next month and I'll see how it goes. So far, everything good!!! 8)
