Hello Everyone...

Does anyone know how long does it take for NDVO to send out AOR2 usually once they receive the application?

My spouse application package was received by CPC-M on April 24, 2014 and I got my AOR on June 17 and my SA on June 18. Now the application has been sent to New Delhi and online status says application received and medicals received.

What would be the next course of action (Besides the obviously painful waiting :'( )

Has anyone ordered gcsm notes? Anyone know how it works and how to order? Can you order if your currently living with your spouse or only from Canada?

I believe the requirement is you are in Canada, if you have things like a MagicJack with a Canadian phone number however I think you might be able to fool the system assuming you still have a Canadian address,

My fiance and I applied for Sponsorship (me - Canada) and Permanent Residency (him - New Zealand).

So far we know this:

Sponsorship Application:
- We received your application to sponsor on April 17, 2014.
- We started processing your application on June 19, 2014.

Permanent Residence:
- We received application for permanent residence on April 17, 2014.
- Medical results have been received.

Now, my question is regarding why there is yet to be a decision made on my SA? My fiance did receive an email asking for more information (they wanted a police check done for when he lived in London a few years ago), is this why?

I guess I assumed that we would be informed of the decision made on my sponsorship either way. I'm just worried that it's taking a long time (many people who applied later than us have already received word), and would like some reassurance that it is being delayed due to their request for more information for HIS part of the application and not because I should be expecting bad news :'(.

Hi there

I received AOR on June 12th and I am yet to hear anything at all about SA also. I haven't been informed that anything is missing, haven't heard word from them at all. I too am starting to get a little worried, but I don't have any reason for my delay so far.

Furthermore when I click into Application Received under sponsorship and permanent residence application mine only says the following:

Sponsorship
We received your application to sponsor _____________ on April 22, 2014.

Permanent Residence
We received ______________ application for permanent residence on April 22, 2014.

Mine does not say that they started processing my application, or that medical results have been received. Does anyone have insight to this. As it has been 2 weeks today since I received the AOR email from them.

As per the last couple of posts... still nothing. We are currently on hold to see if we can speak to someone.

Received SA this morning! Interestingly, the email said that our application has been forwarded to CPC-O - Case Processing Centre Ottawa, rather than Sydney (we are both living together in New Zealand at the moment). Any ideas on why they chose Ottawa? It's a bit disappointing as the processing times in Sydney are very quick right now.

Did you receive any insight as to why they may have sent it to Ottawa... I too am hoping for the shorter processing time through the Sydney office. I am luckily still able to live with my partner through this process as I still have a working holiday visa in Canada until January. I should still have some extra time up my sleeve but would be nice not to need it!!

The first email I received stated that they have received my application package and the second one said I have met the sponsor requirements and the application is being forwarded to NDVO...

Can anyone clarify???

Not sure where the confusion is?

The first email you received is your AOR - acknowledging your package was received at the office.

The second email you received was your SA - approving the sponsor eligible for sponsorship, and notification of where the PR application is being sent. Technically you are not completely a sponsor until the principle applicant's application is approved. You do not start "sponsoring" until COPR or landing i believe.

Now the primary applicant's application is in queue to be processed by the visa office. There will be months and months of silence, so no communication should be expected for a while, unless your visa office sends a AOR when they receive the file. Most do not send this out.
