If you know the answer plz bother to respond me. What will be the date of application received in my case when I had sent the application package on 22 April but now CIC asked a form IMM 5540 to complete and send again? Will the application received date change now or it will be counted from 22 April itself??

most likely the date you will officially get in the AOR will be according to when they receive the missing form. It may not mean they will wait to process it with those applications. It will depend on the officer. For me, my missing form changed the actual date cic recognized they received the application. the processing time for AOR and SA was only delayed 2 weeks. If they were to wait to process my application by the date they acknowledge it, i would still be waiting in line.

CIC received my sponsorship application on 6 April 2014, but I still have no news from CIC. I am a returning Canadian in February 2014, all my financial proof are from Hong Kong, will it delay my application? Now I have opened a bank account in BC, shall i update to CIC?

Actually, my application delivered to cic office on 4 April 2014. I just called CIC Call centre this morning, my sponsorship application has been approved on 2 June 2014. ;D

I'm going to be looking at my phone all weekend, every time a email comes i am so nervous to even look.
