Can you post if it common law /spousal, Medical where done ( date) and which office will be your VO

I sure hope I'm done by then . We are quitting (contract finishing) our jobs at the end of August and then planning on doing a bit (a lot) of traveling and relaxing until all this finished... I really am hoping to be back in Canada with my wife by the end of November/ Early December so we can do Christmas there, but if not I'm ready for longer if needed...

Exciting times for all it would seem

We are hoping to send our application to Mississauga next week, just waiting on South African and UK police checks that are on their way via courier. As soon as we have those the application will be in the mail the same day.

We will be applying via the Sydney office since we both live in New Zealand and my husband did his medical on April 17th. I will post our courier date as soon as its in the mail.

Can't wait to move back home so fingers crossed.

Hope you can get your application in soon. Sydney is a very fast VO from what I have read. There is someone in the December 2013 outland applicants thread that went through Sydney and they landed in early March.

That is awesome news, would love to be able to move home soon. 3 months vs 11 months is amazing. I have my fingers crossed we get the police checks next week.

Has anyone who is a Canadian living outside of Canada had issues proving their intension to move back? We have a relocation plan, letter from my parents saying we can stay with them, communications with moving companies and inquiries into rentals for next year, proof I still maintain my bmo account. Hope that's enough since I don't have a job offer or property.

Any advice from people who were already approved as sponsors but are living outside Canada I would really appreciate it.

I think our application is finished (my head hurts) Just waiting for a couple of letters to arrive from Canada re: our intent to return there. Will review the file and then off it goes. And the panic begins :'(
