My immigration visa got expired, I only have a valid open work-permit, and if I have to apply for a VISA then it would prob make sense to apply for a Travel Document.

I was curious to find out if I will be able to travel back on the same VISA I would get for PR landing purpose, Hime has commented that I should be able to travel back on that VISA, what do you think?

Hi Gaurav,

As I said Immigration ViSA is the PR VISA.
I understand that you dont have work permit VISA.
But here I am talking about Immigration VISA (PR VISA). Stammped By CIC.

This VISA has pretty good validity ( aprox 6-8 months).


See my previous notes. I already said what you should have to carry when you're travel out side of Canada. You must have CPR and Immigration VISA if you're planning to land when you are returning.

Now thinking about where to go for landing.

Don't wanna go Niagara.

Does anyone completed their landing on Thousands Island or Sault Ste. Marie?

Yes I went through a second review because I didn't send T4/NOA at the time of applying. I sent them later on and it seems like it worked

How long did it take you to receive PR card after landing?

I did my landing on 28th March and received PR card on 7th May

Family received theirs in India last week!!

Can't wait to land as Permanent Residents next month!!!

Submitted on Apr 23rd...They received on Apr 24th...They sent on May 12th and I received on May 14th.

i am still waiting for my RPRF fees email and Passport request.but visa and work permit is expiring on 17 June,2015.
any suggestions for that. i was thinking to apply for extension to my work permit how to do it. please tell me something.

Can you check whether original entry date and last entry date on coprs are same for you or different.
