Anyway, I still think they are working on your file already and with having an expiring passport, they need to ask you to renew it.

Medicals: 19-11-2014
Medical Received : 2nd Dec 2014

After that, I have not received any updates from the CIC. Also, I have H1B & Visitor Visa rejection will impact by PR application?

Should I mail them for asking update on my case will CIC will respond to my mail?

Straightforward answer my friend: As you can see your timeline is at the bottom of the pack. CIC is slowly progressing to your timeline. You can see the updated of the people ahead of you. Give them a few more weeks.

Now for your previous rejection, as far as I know, they won't matter unless you did some sort of a fraud during that application but I'm not entirely sure. Order GCMS to get an idea what is happening to your application.

I am an april applicant who is still waiting for MR (Current status is "Rewiew required by Officer as per the last GCMS Notes I ordered)

I just noticed in the E-CAS that the Processing time for Canadian Experience Classhas been reduced to 12 months. (It was 13 months yesterday). Does this mean the processing will be quicker?

Hopefully I will soon get my MR soon. The problem is my employer does not provide a reference letter as per the policy and I have mentioned that to CIC and submitted all the supporting documents. Hope they will accept it and make a decision soon.

That's what we are hoping for is to have a quicker processing time but as you can see that is not happening right now. I am guessing many will still go even beyond 13 months. This is only my take.

Thanks for your help.. when you say fraud means? I have not visited U S at all and also H1B visa is more or less related to employer right. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Honestly, day before yesterday, I dropped a mail and asked them that my passport will be expired in December 2015. Hence, shall I go ahead for renewal or wait for final decision.

Today, they asked me to submit new passport.

I don't understand whether shall I go ahead for renewal but it will block one month. Else, I can ask them that I don't have new passport.

I am going through some old posts , there is no clear instructions on passport validity to issue a visa.

What exact words your email contains? New passport/Valid passport ?
or only New valid passport ?
If it is first one then you can send your current valid passport. I am not an expert , just making my best guess.

I am also an April applicant , file received on 29th April, AOR=5th June. Upfront Medicals and RPRF done. After that no response from CIC.

My ATIF file shows medical and RPRF received. Eligibility - recommend passed (in progress), criminality - in progress, security and medical - not started

Q1. Why is my ECAS not updated with my medical and RPRF status?

Q2. I Applied for US B1/B2 visa in nov and received it too so should I inform CIC about my US visa?

Q3. ECAS currently shows my correct home address but the mailing address is changed to my representative office address who file my work permit and temporary resident visa on behalf of my company. The PR application was filed by me and not through my company representative so should I update my mailing address online or inform CIC through email. Update address tool does not allow me to change only my mailing address.

You have only 30 days , can you get your passport renewed within 30 days for sure? If not sure, just send an email with existing passport copy and explain your situation in detail and ask for more time. do you have any thoughts?

I am going to renewal for passport but Indian consulate will take original passport so I can't reply with existing passport but will tell them that give me more times or will update sooner once will get passport.

Same situation with me . you did a good job by informing CIC . yes online system will not allow you to update just mailing address. so you enter same address which you want to your home again and mailing address correct one and submit it (same I did)
and regarding representative address , when you company file WP extension you sign and submit a form to authorize representative . so in CIC data base it is associated with your UCI # , which is uniq for all your immigration activity, from there is fetched

You can show the email from CIC to indian consulate and expediate the passport renewal process.
Try to visit indian consulate office if you are in toronto or vancouver.
Let us know what happened, I wish for speedy renewal ...
