Congrats!

Have you ordered your GCMS notes? If so, would you mind sharing them (if there's anything you suspect could have delayed the process - i.e., belated MR request)? Thanks.

hey guys,

After hearing nothing from CIC since May 2014 (AOR), i finally got an MR this evening! Maybe things are starting to pickup in Ottawa!

It appears many of you had your Medicals many months ago, so somehow i am very far behind!

All the best to everyone

Not much there except the following which I was surprised by as I feel they wanted to give us our PR - in the first summary section it say "RFPF 490 due 21 May 2014" - interesting.

Also the paper file got transferred from Sydney NS to Ottawa soon after AOR in early June, then it sat in Ottawa and got moved from Registry to A900 and then to CEC CA REV - all this took 5 months and not much appears to have been done apart from CA is OPEN (I believe that is Criminality Assessment).

We needed Police Clearances from 3 countries and we never heard anything from them, no request at all. So I wonder how people are supposed to find out when they are meant to send CIC information because they told us not to send anything to them in the AOR until requested. It appears that they don't request!!! I feel that people have been using GCMS notes to see what they need to do and it has perhaps become the defacto way of doing things at CIC.

Frankly I am shocked to learn how all this works.

That is so true that CIC never inform Applicants to send PCC. I have the same situation and sent an email about my PCC not submitted with application.
I asked them that "I did not received any request for PCC submission from CIC, what should I do?"
I also mentioned them that I thought CIC will request for PCC when needed.

The reply I got from them is really different, they said "Please send your PCC as early as possible to the following address."

And there was a address mentioned as they have on Website to submit PCC.

First Congratulations.....

We all might receive RPRF or PPR request in February... Don't worry Grahamangus you will be fine. I see in April month Applicatnts few people get Med/RPRF and PPR requests in 30 to to days......

Congrats! I'm waiting for my GCMS notes early next month. I'll paste here what happened within a month since I received the previous ones. Probably... nothing :)

I have also just submitted my application for GCMS notes. I will definitely share once I receive it.
May the process for PR under CEC gather speed!!!!
Warm regards!

After launching this new EE program, CIC has messed up our aspiration and dream.

I am thinking of notifying a major newspaper such as The Globe and Mail or Financial Times about the CapGate scandal.
I have not seen it covered in the news and this is definitely VERY newsworthy. I feel very sorry for the applicants who are having their hopes and dreams smashed by CIC because of their laissez faire attitude towards those applicants' applications.

The journalist can also look into why CIC is perceived as dragging their feet in assessing the applications received before January 1, 2015.

I know I should be more patient, and that our April/May groups' official wait times are not done yet, but I am finding myself becoming more and more obsessed with checking every few minutes if something has changed somewhere - anywhere. It's frustrating and life-force draining. Especially with soooo much depending on such a slow and, it seems, unreliable system.

I think I will just have to abstain from checking this forum, ECAS and my inbox for at least a month... (lol)

That's a good idea! Report this to the media and let's some actions here though I don't see that action in the near future. There have been some issues with their communications and decision that was reported earlier.

Hi Friends,

I am thinking of paying RPRF fee upfront for me and my wife. The wait for RPRF email is killing me :( . I completed my medical in Dec 1st week, since then there is no communication from CIC. Can any one advise me , how to pay RPRF upfront and after paying do we need to inform CIC of the same. Need your guidance on the processes to be followed for RPRF fees.

You get a receipt online and can download it in PDF format. You will get the PDF file, you'll have to fill in the information and send it in an email to CIC.
