Of course we need an AOR for them to approve BOWP but if we apply through paper, by the time they pick up and process it I may have an AOR. and if I apply for it I will get an implied status in the country which makes me eligible to stay here.

My bank draft was taken out of our account on the day I got the draft from the bank and my bank doesnt know if its been accepted or not!

Were out of Canada so can't apply for BOWP til we land back in Canada which is frustrating

Well bank should be able to tell you whether the draft has been cashed or not. May be non outside Canada. Anyways, good luck.

hellooo,

need a piece of advice one of my friend is trying to apply under CEC (NOC 2174) but he doesn't have a employer reference letter ....so some one adviced him to apply under FSW for which the CAP of 300 starts from May1st.

So just want to understand which is better in his case CEC or FSW . If he applies under FSW can he get BOWP like we get in CEC?

thanks in advance.

Sandy

FSW = federal SKILLED WORKER ; CEC = CANADIAN EXPERIENCE class -- no employment reference letter means no concrete proof of employment !

I noticed one of the "CEC14" has received AOR on 29th. His file reached on 9 April 2014. Also another weird entry is "OCanada" has submitted application on 22 April 2014 and the AOR has been received on 28th. Not sure is both of these entries are true.

Even I am wondering , How come AOR in 6 days ? is it a typo .....

Hey guys, nobody recalled what I said before: looks like people who attached a Bank-Drafts or Certified Ch usually get AOR around day 19-20 (just check the spreadsheet) while credit cards are up to 25-26 days. I asked if it was just a coincidence...

You asked and no one was able to answer ;) It's that easy. No one was able to answer, because no one knows.
But you might be right, if that's what you've noticed by comparing dates on the spreadsheet, but it might also
be just a coincidence.

But it would make sense, as CIC has to wait after charging the credit card if the transaction is successful, whereas a
bank draft can be encashed right away.

Agreed. Maybe, it's just a coincidence but it's still a bit weird (maybe CC needs more time to verify if the amount was properly accredited?). I'll keep an eye on it. Interesting theory though.
