Hello All,

I did receive PCC Request from CIC on 3rd for Japan. As I was expecting this. And I am happy that they have started processing my file. I will send them PCC next week.

One question I have that they asked for background information form along with the PCC once again. Is it normal that they ask this form again ?

Thanks

Hi Friends,

I am a silent reader of this forum. I really want to thank you all for sharing all the important information.

I got my MR today. ECAS status is still "Application Received" . Please update the sheet accordingly.

My application was received by CIC on April 11th and I got AOR around 8th May 2014. Later I got married in may last ,processed my wife's dependent visa, brought her to canada, updated my marital status to CIC through email, received the instruction from CIC for required documentation to add her in my application. As per canada post ,all the required documents to add my wife in my application was received by CIC on 23rd Sep.

In between, I renewed my passport as well and informed CIC through email, also sent them the scanned copy of both my old and renewed passport.

As of now, I have not received ant medical request for my wife, neither any confirmation about addition of my wife to my application or of Passport renewal update. I am not sure , how my MR results will be uploaded . Is there any dependency on passport renewal?

Should I wait for my wife's MR or should I go ahead with my Medical checkup. Please advise.

I would say order the GCMS notes and see if they got all the information you have sent out.

Agree with canadacec, Order GCMS notes for you and your wife, So you can see application status.
I am sure your wife will receive MR very soon.
Best of luck,
Thanks :)

@vicky_india

As been said, you can order GCMS but that will take more than a month before you can receive it.

What you can do is already have your medical with your wife (do upfront medical for her). This will save time and money (you might have a discount if more than one person needs a medical).

Sheet has also been updated.

Guys,

I haven't received the original BOWP yet. It was approve on 17th October. Actually, I have called CIC multiple times, but same response that there were technical issue in printer and your request has already raised it.

Do you have any idea or how to follow-up with CIC regarding for BOWP?

Thanks Cabalen, MJ009 and Canadacec123 for your prompt reply.

@Cabalen,

As I mentioned, I have renewed my passport and updated the same to CIC along with scanned copy of both my old and renewed passport. But I have not received any confirmation from them that my passport details are updates. Is the medical procedure also verify passport details. As the old passport is cancelled, I have to use my renewed passport no. everywhere.

Regarding upfront medical of my wife:- She underwent canada immigration medical in may 2014 while applying dependent visa for canada. She received her visa in July and came here in Aug. After that I applied for her open work permit based on my current work permit, as the medical was done less that 6 months back, no medical was required for her work permit and she got the work permit last month.

I am not very sure , whether CIC considers the medical performed for canada visa and that is the reason she has not received her medical request. If, the visa medical are not considered and I opt for upfront medical, what is the procedure.Which all documents I need to carry for her upfront medicals here in Toronto.

My Bowp also approved on october 17th and i received hard copy in 3 days.I dont think they have problem with printers. Just cal them and double check address. They might have wrongly written.

I think you can bring both of your passports just in case and your email to CIC that you have renewed your passport.

You are probably correct that your wife doesn't a medical request because she has a recent medical already (validity is one year). The same checks are being done regardless if you're getting a Visa or PR.

Other members what are your opinions and experiences here?

Thanks tdot_guy, MJ009, kelz876, Cabalen, kichha51 and the rest of you April applicants !!! hope the rest of you who did not received MR will get it soon and we all can do our landing before Christmas!

I did my appointment for the medical visit for next Wednesday for me only and I am wondering if I should do an appointment for my wife and kids since they already performed a similar doctor visit not so long ago for their new visa for Canada. Any advise would be very much appreciated.

Best of luck to everyone!

As far as I know, if their medicals are still valid (1 year validity) then they don't need to through another medical.
