Guys,

Do you know if I can do the flag pole any time or is there any specific times?
I am assuming that @ Niagara falls I can do landing anytime?

I think they are open most of the time. There are post in the forum that some were not allowed to land on that time. I can't remember where I saw it. But most of the ones I've read landed early in the morning until late in the night had no problems.

Sunday 1PM to 3:30PM, they don't do PR landing process as one of my friend told me and I read same as posted by other here..

I never received the RPRF request (visa exempt so won't get PPR) but I decided to pay mine two weeks ago. Still haven't heard anything, and my eCas status is still "application received". Ordered my latest GCMS which are due on the 24th so I'll hopefully know more then!

Just received my latest GCMS and there is only one tiny change - a note from February saying "org/entities associated". Security is still showing as not started and criminality is still in progress. My due date is showing as May 9th - does this date actually mean anything or is it just the date I can start complaining to them haha?

Hi Friends,

Yesterday I landed at Rainbow bridge with my family. There were no queue both side and visa officers are nice and polite. We landed very smoothly with completed all processing in 30 min. Then after, we went to Niagara falls but, weather was very cold and freeze.

In my corp, entry date is wrong and I insisted to change but officer told me that they can't do anything here. But he told me that date is not wrong but that was your last entry date in Canada as per database. I said that's true. So he don't me that no need to worry about entry date. Congratulation and Enjoy your trip and food at Niagara.

I asked again that what about citizenship and it will create any issue. Then he told me that there were no issue because you can show your all proof and in-out date. Immigration have your all dates and data.

My wife told that forget about entry date and don't do more discussion with officer. Let's go and enjoy at Niagara. :P

Finally we landed at Niagara. :) :)

Congrats sjulien! I'm very happy for you and your family.

I'm still waiting for my PPR even though my application is in showing "In Process" since Feb 20. Let's hope I'll get it soon although I have applied for my BOWP extension just in case...

Congratulations sjulien!!

Congrats sjulien!

Same case as mine. I argued to no avail. Just send them the amendment form if you wish. But this will not affect our citizenship anymore with the new rule this year.

Hey Cabalen,
I have a question regarding landing at US/Canada border. Can we do it at any port of entry on US/Canada border or there are designated places for that. I am asking this question because I live in a small town situated in western Saskatchewan and I am sure that won't be any immigrant going for flag poling at the nearest port of entry and it is more than 400 Kms.

If you are from a visa-exempt country you can land in a CIC office of your choice. I am sure there is one in Regina and/or Saskatoon.

I tried that as well and it has been more than a month and haven't heard anything from them.

Anyway, I called Canada border service Call Centre and found out that not all border offices provide Immigration services, so I guess I'm gonna have to wait for an appointment at Saskatoon office.

Thanks.

Otherwise, check kijiji and craigslist. Some people offer rideshares to the border and back. It's still a long ride but at least you can split the gas and it will be less expensive.
Concerning the appointments, the waiting time really varies from season to season and visa office to visa office. I heard about someone waiting for 6 weeks in Vancouver, another person only waiting a week for his appointment in Montréal. You might be lucky and get an appointment fairly quickly since Saskatoon is small compared to other VO cities in Canada and there are by far not as many immigrants living there as in Vancouver or Toronto. Fingers crossed! ;)

any updates?
i am getting my GCMS notes today or tommorow. will see what they are upto....
