I believe the 20 month is the since the day of AOR, I asked my lawyer to request for a GCMS, but he told me doing that will slow down the process.

That's not true! I have 6 GCMSs. Look at my timeline. Order all you want. You can order it for yourself, it's faster. Your lawyer needs to fill out a consent form to get one.

I applied CEC on 17 march 2014 and I got a file no. on 4 April 2014.

But my immegration office was closed on july 2014.

So I did not get any info from them.

Now what should I do?

One of my friend did trip over their. Actually, he stayed with family at Niagram hotel. In the midnight, he called taxi and dropped near to border and walked through immigration office. I think he did flag poll.

After that, he back to hotel via taxi.

I have car, so not exact idea, but I remember that I seen Railway station in Niagara, So take via train from union station to Niagara.....then After reach over there, bus {May be 5, 5b} take it to near to border or fall.

Hi Friends,

Just as I wrote that long opinion of mine... I have received the Medical Request right after that.
My Lawyer just informed me that I have received the Medicals for me and my wife.
I am not sure when CIC sent it to them though... Probably, last night... or this morning...

Just as I was preparing to wait for another 3-4 months... I got this medical request on a Saturday from my Lawyer. (Even hard for me to believe...)
A little patience, paid off...

I wish, every member here, get their MR's soon too...

I was told that the border officers today were not really officers and you need to go back to do your real landing.

Ha Ha....In fact, the CBSA officer was so cool and friendly.... he was joking on that too....
He said, "You are a permanent resident of Canada and April Fool's Day"
Then he laughed and said, "Dont worry, It's for real"
