I haven't heard of that before. A few guys here got PPR almost immediately after MR. We haven't asked them if they have studies in Canada or anything else that speeded up the process, but that was impressive and gave false hope to all of us (somehow).

Hey guys just sharing with you, my spouse received email to pay the right of permanent resident fee after ordering the gcms notes in december 2014 plus our imm5669 form needs to be updated,

April 16,2014 application received
May 2014 Medical request
June 2016 medicals received

Based on the gcms notes the file was transferred to ottawa in October 2014 not sure how but that is what i have seen.

So you guys should be around the corner. Good Luck guys

Hi Maxmoore,

I dont think so the Study part is matter. Because I have also studied in Canada. And did not received anything yet. Also, been in Canada from 2010 including study and 3 yrs of Canadian NOC A experience... It's so strange...... :) ??? :) :) :)

Your spouse has a much earlier timeline than the rest of us but still this is good news!

When your spouse applied, is it only for oneself? I'm thinking that the number of person applying is affecting the processing time.

I ordered GCMS on Dec 4th,2014. I think some people posted that it takes 2 months to open a file again by officer. Is it true?

It's a case to case basis. I've seen some posts like that and cases not.

I think CIC runs on batch files. If you are missing some requirements then you will be put on-hold until the next processing for that particular requirement. Again, I notice that the processing sometimes coincide with each other. They started mine with Criminality in progress while other have not started yet. Then after a few months I got Eligibility to recommend pass and Medical passed but Criminality is still in progress.

Again, I know Criminality will take time for my case so I will just wait for a couple of months, I think, to see some progress.

Cabalen the application was submitted for both of us: primary applicant & common law spouse

We both got rprf email and it also asked for us to send updated imm5669 forms to include both of us new address. I have a question though Cabalen or anyone else in the group, he is a professional driver and when he came to canada he went to a driving school for 1week should i add this to his post secondary schooling, i never did before and it now concerns me. thanks guys

I think in kelz876 case as he has put his file in FSW category he got faster processing time.

Sent RCMP and updated police certificate from my home country on 5th Jan and get reply of reciept of it by CPC just now. At least kown that my case is getting processing.

Me on 20th Nov and still waiting for PPR.

Do you request CIC acknowledge the receipt of your documents, or they confirm with you directly? I also sent my PCC via mail two weeks ago, no news from them.

Application Received by CIC on May 23, 2014
AOR Received on July 7, 2014
MR Received on January 17, 2015
Medical Done on January 21, 2015
Country of Residence Canada
Country of Origin Togo Republic

Please can anyone tell me how to pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)?

A quick question for those who did upfront medical:

Do we have to email CIC a copy of the receipt? If so, what information do we need to provide other than UMI number?

Is this the right email address: CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca?

Thanks in advance for responses!
