Hello Guys,
I am thinking to do upfront medical. I wanted some expert advise whether i should do it or not, does it make any difference(positive or negative) ?
i would really appreciate if someone can explain the phrase "upfront medical" and its impacts. Thanks in advance.
I say first order GCMS notes and then do Medicals according to that.

Hi Ganapathi,

I did my Medical for BOWP last month. I don't know if this affect my PR file Medical request.
Is it possible that if you do Medical in advance they delay your file?????

The ECAS status remains unchanged, saying Application Received on May 5.

I guess things would only start happening after the medicals had been completed, which is scheduled for December 11.

Good luck!

Congratulation !!

If you do medicals for your Bowp. Then they pull your medicals record for PR appliaction. You dnt have to do it anymore

To add it will only change to "In Process" once they received your medicals and passed eligibility, criminality and security. I am not sure if permanent resident fee is a prerequisite as well.

So the status should be something like this?
1. Application Received
2. Medicals Received
3. In Process
4. Decision made

How much time between 2 and 3? And between 3 and 4?

There's no "Medical Received" status. That is only in the notes --> the page after clicking the status.

For those who have have already PPR. How does your notes look like now?

The timing will be from days to months. CIC changes the process every now and then it seems and from your situation as well.

Is anybody else having issues with ECAS (https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/ECAS.jsp)

Been trying to check my status but sometimes the page doesn't load and sometimes it doesn't redirect to my profile.

Yup! I think the server is down.

This is not true, because my case shows "in process" on Oct 24 (I mentioned three times in my previous posts in this thread), but I haven't got MR nor ME is done yet. RPRF is not required, as I got RPRF on Oct 28 and paid it the same day.

I heard that issue before especially with the May and June applicants. Some where reverted to "Application Received" which should be the correct one. I think Junior VO's and/or an internal memo probably made the confusion on the updates.

To cut all debates here. ECAS is UNRELIABLE. For one is what happened to you and as you can see with other's update.

For those wondering what's happening with the application, order GCMS. It's free (if yoou're here in Canada). I think you can order all you want (not 100% sure here). I am on my third GCMS it helps me track what is happening (if there is!) in my application.

:) :) :)

My ECAS Status changed today

1) We received your application for permanent residence on April 23, 2014.

2) Medical results have been received.

Admin, can you please update the sheet as Medical Received: Dec 3, 2014.

All the best to all April 2014 applicants.... :) :) :)
