I called the CIC call centre yesterday. The agent I talked with said that even though the system shows mail was sent in April, it was in fact sent in June via regular mail.

He also confirmed that my application is "in transit" from Sydney to Vancouver office.

Here is my ecas:

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on April 17, 2014.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on April 17, 2014. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on June 17, 2014.

Not to sound negative, but some people mentioned calling the Call Center several times over several days and getting a different answer each time on the "local transfer" piece.

as dem seh...no news is good news....i believe family application take longer to process thn single...because i saw application that was received may 05 processed

Hi my family application received on april 28 also, at sydney and last monday i can access to ecas it says Received and In process. Still waiting for AOR and reviewer hopefully next week........

Hi that's the weird thing, nothing in there when they start to process my application, just only in the first line received and then second line In Process when i click that it says:

1.We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on April 28, 2014.


2.We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on April 28, 2014. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

That's all still waiting for aor and study book........

we r asking the date CIC start processing your case, maybe late june or early july

Can you share, searched e-CAS under which ID? such as: Client ID 1234-5678/PR#PA0123456/Payment Receipt#R012345678?

I used my client ID number

But in my wife and son's case there is nothing in eCAS. It's been 2.5 month now and I wonder what could be the reason for such delay to show In "Process"..

@ rayman_m: In our case I was able to track all family members at the same day on CIC website.
Maybe you can call CIC and give them that question. Good luck.
