Hi Dandash,

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on April 22, 2014.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on April 22, 2014. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on June 27, 2014.

We sent you a letter on July 7, 2014. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the letter before sending us additional information, as the letter will outline all information that is required. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Ok, here we go...

I first submitted my application on April 15th, 2014.

After waiting and waiting, I called the CIC call centre two weeks ago. They asked me to resend my application, because it seemed that it had been misplaced or rejected and lost by Canada Post. I re-submitted it and it was delivered to Sydney on July 8th.

So Now, today I checked my CIC online status and this is what I found:

We started processing your application on July 9, 2014.

So, it looks like they received it the first time after all. I contacted CIC call centre again today, just to let them know that a second application was submitted. They said that the second application will be returned to me and that it is nothing to worry about.

I am so happy that it's finally IN PROCESS :) ;) :D

did any one who applied in April got their "letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada" yet ?

It looks CIC has now mixing up all the applications and delaying to update eCAS. If your 15th April application they update on 16th July then 28th April application may take up to entire July which is 3 month..

I received the AOR and booklet on July 14.
Application received on April 3.
Started processing on May 27.
