Somebody in March 31 received ecas update yesterday.. I can post it here.. let me see..

"Updates on mine!!! I just got on ECAS to check the status and I saw this:

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on March 31, 2014.

2. We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on March 31, 2014. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

3. We started processing your application on May 14, 2014.

Application Received on Mar 31, no Ecase update yet.

I saw one of the users, LApolo, whose application was received on March 31, got the ecas update on May 14.

I thought everyone so far has gotten their update after 37-45 days. Mine is already 41 days. Maybe now that it's our turn they slow down the process!

I know..We've been played in the game of "wait and watch" for years, from student/work permit to PR and now citizenship.. Let's kill some more time to see when/if the game will be over! 8)

I 've been watching this forum for weeks but first time posting.
This forum is really helpful and pls keep up the good work.

I just called CIC and the lady confirmed that they received my application on April 3, 2014 and soon i will get the book. I will keep you guys posted.

I forgot to ask. I will probably call back later and will let you know. But before she went checking, she asked me when did i send my application and i just said end of march. The strange thing is i called up yesterday and the agent didn't even bother checking, he just told me that they were sending ack for app received March 21 and i might wait up to 6 weeks before receiving any update.

That's funny, because I called CIC last Thursday, and same as your case, the agent didn't bother checking my account and said exactly the same thing, "we are working on the application received on March 21"!

I've planned to take a vacation for a couple weeks but I've been stuck here waiting to make sure this stupid application goes through.

I will call the center then again. Thanks for letting us know.

Yeah BobyM that's too funny. I suggest you to call back and if they ask you when did you sent ur app, then just say you cannot remember. It might work out. So i called back CIC and this is what i got from the lady:

Application received: April 3, 2014.

Ack letter + book sent : May 27, 2014.

Thanks Flying High for sharing your info; that's promising. Yes, I should try calling them back in hope for different answer.

Are you able to log in to ECAS (https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/ECAS.jsp) to see the status of your application? I just wanna know if they have input the info of April applicants into the system yet.
