should be anytime now about precessing, april applicants?
the government receives 330k applicant a year , which is 26000 a month but they only grant 20k new citizens a month, so the backlog will keep climbing.
gotta wait more patiently, i guess

I would like to get some clarifications for the following - our family application has been received by CIC and I do have the following lines:

Applicant Citizenship Application Status:

XXX YYYYYYY Received
XXX YYYYYYY In Process

when I check application's status online, the rest of the family has just "In Process" line.
What that exactly mean? Why my wife and kids don't have "Received" line when they open their's pages. Thanks for all your answers.

Okay, I see an update today. It's weird though that I can't see this status using my Receipt Number (R0xxxxxxx), but I can see it using my PR Card number (PAXXXXXX). May be the update was already there since June 17, but I never tried to see it using my PR card number.

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on April 17, 2014.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on April 17, 2014. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on June 17, 2014.

his application was sent april 14 th....cic got it the 17th...so it took 2 months to start processing..

Yes, sent on April 14th, received on April 17th, started processing on June 17th.

I make a statment a long time on this forum that cic open ur application upon receiving....it would b dumb of them to just wait until 2 months to open it.

Right, I use the PAXXXXXXX (PA followed by 7 digits) on the back of the PR card to track my application and it showed the status.

When I use the RXXXXXXXXX (R followed by 9 digits) as receipt number, which is what I got when I made the $400 payment to CIC for citizenship application, they still show "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:".

What do you use to track your application?

I used the receipt # cxxxxxxxxx also the paxxxxxxx and still not showing anything....

Processing began on June 24 2014.
