Hi, I have applied my GCMS notes on 19 sept but didn't get any response yet. my question is will they send the information in email format or hard copy through mail?

They will send you the notes the way you asked them while filling that online form. It takes exactly 30 days. If you requested by e-mail, then you should have received it by 21 Oct (considering Saturday/Sunday). If you haven't received it yet, then email them as it's your right under privacy act and they will instantly reply you. They happened with me too when I ordered two GCMS notes in a span of 25 days and when I didn't receive first set of notes, I emailed them asking why haven't I receive my notes. They then send me my notes followed by two follow-up emails asking me to confirm if I have received my GCMS notes.

Hello all,

I wish to ask

how long it usually takes from the time that a file was transferred from CIO-sydney to CPP-Ottawa until that we hear back, such as a passport request, from CPP-Ottawa? I applied under PNP and my file was transferred to CPP-Ottawa early this month.

Thanks in advance,

I have been thinking the reason that takes so long for CPP processing my application since august 20 is maybe I did not submit my finger print based criminal check.. well i dont know cuz i didnt even know anything about that until June, and I mailed my whole application package in April lol
and I believe the security check should be the very last stage before they send the PPR, and it's certainly the most time consuming.. but what is security check exactly? well criminal check is easy to understand, just the police records shows if your clean based on your name, addresses and finger print..
if security check is about the organizations that applicants have been involved, im even cleaner on this part.. I had been a university student for a long time, never been enlisted or be part of any organizations, so why the heck it takes so long for CPP to process my file!
I understand patience is a virtue, but unlike most of the applicants in this forum, I'm waiting for PR to make a life changing situation.
the strike was over months ago, I just don't understand what the hell CPP has been doing ever since the strike was over, they should have enough man power now to be much faster.
Good luck to us all!

Alexb - when your application has been delivered to CIO? And under which PNP you've been selected?

Have patience....you may need to understand that there are so many ahead of you who are still waiting. CIC issues PPR once every week. We weren't lucky last week, keep hopes for next week. Hopefully we may hear next week. There are many people in this forum who haven't met their partners and are just waiting for that email to make their dreams come true. You must need to wait and have patience. Atleast they are working unlike those who applied in 2011/2012 who waited for 9-12 months after their application was "In-Process". You must pray and wish that we all get our passport request soon.

I understand..but how many of you have not been home in the last 8 years? I did. I have been in Canada since sep 2005, and never had a chance to go home and see my family in person. And I need to be a PR to work somewhere else..
#sigh

You can apply for TRV to go back, you know? You don't have to stay inside Canada while the process is going on.

I was told it's my best interest not to.

C'mon guys relax and chill ! we all know it's difficult time on everyone ... everyone has given sacrifices and we can't compare others sacrifices with others. So I wish that we all should hear good news really soon (inshAllah) !

Ugh.... that is very strange. You shouldnt go if and only if you applied under spousal sponsorship within Canada or you have a "special status" that I might not know of. If you has work permit, it is totally fine. There are people in this forum apply within Canada under PNP with work permit, then go back to their country for any reason. Got their CORP in the mail to a friend house. Or, they just send passport back to Canada to send to Ottawa. I, myself, also travel under TRV. I'm really surprised that you cant go if you are also in Canada under work permit (either closed or open).
