Guys from India @ Vishnunair, Sgupta1487, arif.jabbar, sarayu.. anyone... Need your help. I got an email yesterday asking for the original of my PCC from India. I had submitted the original initially with my application (Back in April,13). I had got that from passport office in India. There is no signature on it as it is a computer generated one from passport office. My question is...
1) Are they asking new one? What I submitted is expired?? Because it is more than a year old...
2) If I have to get a new one... Is it easy to apply here in Canada or is it easy to get one back from India...

Please advice in this regard...

You just go to Indian embassy here and apply for PCC. You will get it in 20 days. They must be asking a new one as your old one is a year old and may have been expired.

WELL, YES ITS ALWAYS BETTER TO FOLLOW UP ON MEDICALS, BUT AGAIN THERE IS NOT A THING YOU CAN DO AT THE MOMENT OTHER THAN MAKING case specific enquiries and then counting days until they reply you and drive urself insane in the meantime.i myself have been driven insane by this immigration process.anxiety, stress and you name it everything tap into your head when its going on, but again a very friendly advice is order the gcms notes again and shoot an email to ottawa. and to the CIO. but like you said that they have backlogs , may be they do. because thing is if they thought your case was fishy they would not even bother replying, and other thing is if they had not received your emeds then they would request you the other one, since the 60 days deadline has passed. and if there was any concern you would get letter requesting additional documentation(tests). I tried looking HBM ottawa info, but there is not anything they are going to do. And mind you CIC is straight in there communication(mostly). they are government they wouldnt lie to you in most circumstances(medical exam seems the less likely they would try and cover up)! just go out and take few very deep breaths , its all going to be good with you! good luck ! and just to let you know i have had all sort of confusions and documents requests from cic, everyone has specific concerns with their case and i am almost certain its just a timing problem that they have with your case and you are going to do well!

I have a query regarding the PCC. I did not send it with my application. I have now finished my medicals and visa office is CPP Ottawa. Is it okay to mail the PCC without request to Ottawa. Also just to confirm once we receive the file number the file transfers to Ottawa and is no longer with Sydney ?

Don't do it u gonna have to wait for the request bcs we never know where would your criminality check is going to happen So I will sugest you to wait
