That sucks! eligibility, criminality, meds all passed? How about the security check?

Hey there,

I noticed change in my mailing address that is shown on the ecase page. My apartment number is mentioned twice, and I am sure it was not like this before. No one has access or can update my mailing address. Is this suppose to mean anything? should I try to correct my mailing address that is shown on the ecase?

I have not check my ecase for quite a while, so I am not sure when did that happen.

I have a concern regarding Passport request, If you can help me that will be appreciated.
I am residing in Canada and my wife is still in India. Whenever CIC will ask about Passport request for stamping they ask all documents by MAIL in a single package. So question is

how can I bring my wife's passport in Canada?

Is there any way I can get passport in Canada for PR stamp. I call today to CIC and they said If they already know ur wife is in India they will follow that way. But I read so many post in this forum and every time they ask Mail in single package.

Hi guys, need your help, kindly enlighten me, especially to those who are already landed to canada with their spouse and children. We received our passport with visa yesterday, and upon reading CPR and other instructions, i noticed that there is one application for a child vaccine/immunization. Now my concern is, do my child need a vaccine again in canada? Even she had already some vaccination here, when she was still a baby? Thanks alot.

Please note that we will be requesting an extension of the validity of these results, to minimize the number of applicants who will be required to undertake new medical examinations.

We have requested for an extension on the validity of your medical results. This request has been approved and the validity of your results prolonged.

We have received your medical results.

Case status:
An officer will be in contact with you in due course. In the meantime, we would ask for your patience and for you not to send follow-up requests for status to our office.

How long will it take to process my application?
[Rec’d after January 1st 2013] Processing times vary. You can consult the Processing times: Permanent Residence — Economic classes webpage on the CIC website. Please note that given the high volume of inquiries submitted to this office and Canadian visa offices abroad, status updates on cases are not normally provided unless the processing time for a file is longer than the service standards outlined on the CIC website.

[Rec’d after June 1st and before January 1st 2013] Your application will be revised within 16 months of its reception date at our office. Your application will not necessarily be finalized by that date. Please note that processing times vary.

As per my eCAS "We received your application for permanent residence on May 21, 2013."

Its such a confusing message.... although she/he said they shall process within 16 months, she/he continued saying processing times vary.

On the other hand, i have submitted all our medicals around September 2nd week. and as per my understanding (readings on CIC pages) they are good for an year; in that case why did they request for extension of validity? will my application take so long to process?.... nothing is clear --- i regret sending this inquiry; i am more confused now !!!

You are right, they will ask you for both passports. You have two options, get your wife's passport in canada through a friend or by going yourself and submit together, will save your time after PPR. Another way, once you get PPR, reply to that email let ottawa know your situation. They will then email indian CHC to send PPR to your wife. Hope this helps !

Well, you are right SaiSivaRam. It's a bit confusing. Same thing with my app. Due day passed 3 weeks ago and still no PPR. I guess that strike cause lots of mess in there system and now they trying to keep up. All I can suggest is simply to be patient and wait.

There's no need to do it again. Just make sure you will bring all papers confirming vaccination of your child and you will be fine. They will mark it down in child's vaccination card. Remember it is your responsibility to keep all vaccinations up to day. Even when you moving from one province to another you still need to bring this card with you. Provinces don't keep in track with each other on medical stuff. Every province it's like a different country with own laws (except federal laws witch applies to whole Canada, such as one GST tax etc.)

A friend of mine is In India right now, He can get me the passport but its illegal to carry passport in the flight even though if you give them authority.

I asked so many friends in Saskatchewan and they all said got their wife's passport through friend even though its illegal. When they called to CIC they said We don't care its your situation.

Lets hope, I can find legal processor..

Just in case ask your wife to write cover letter with her signature on it which matches her signature in passport in case if some one ask why is your friend carry extra passport If not just simply use mail services.
