I only hope I can receive my ppr before Xmas.. Must be the best Christmas gift ever in my life, or I should get a "DM" status before Xmas!
I think I'll apply another gcms notes either nov20, or the end of nov.
My status changed to "in progress" on aug20, 2013. And the file was in registry of CPP-Ottawa on sep17, I believe they might have started doing security check on me since sep17, come on..2 months are not enough?! I've been living in Canada since 2005 without leaving the border once! What takes cic so long to check on me jezz...

Hey great catch! My number on the security page is "s.21", any idea what that means?? And my notes of eligibility was good, got 7 lines here lol says my information is consistent with the accompanying documentation lol, criminality and mere passed, no additional docs required at this time.
I guess I don't need to submit my finger printed base criminal check now haha.
Anyone has any idea what kind of security check they are doing on us? Like call our original country? I don't think so... Or cross match our parents' names or something? Any thoughts are welcome lol we can make fun of cic to ease the intention of endless waiting..

Just landed in Blaine WA....took me exactly 4 minutes and 30 seconds...i also filled up my car and bought twinkies

good luck to everyone else out there...

i have been in process for almost 3.5 months...so everybody else please do not panic and be patient. gmsc notes are only required if you had a criminal offences before or something else is up....plus it is extra work for ottawa and most likely takes away capacity for processing other applications.
personally, i would order those notes only, if you have had no update for more than 5 months...never before

that is just my 2 cents....

According to my brief research of the year 2013 in-Canada applications: from the month you submitted your application, it takes 10-11 months if you are single applicant and 10-13 months for principle+dependent(s).
So March-April applicants give CIC another month or so, people will start getting either 'Decision made' or PPR.....or both at the same time

Having said that, I hope my research proves me wrong and we all get PPRs this month itself ;D
