Yeah. I'll skip this one and join the group of obsessive compulsive Ecas people :D

Kissa and IvanP, we should create on this forum a group or spreadsheet called : For Obsessive Compulsive Ecas :o

ECAS is really, really unreliable, so if it doesn't report something that has already been done, don't worry. We all still check it because it can sometimes tell you when your application is in process or a decision has been made, but with the exception - occasionally - of the issuance of COPR, you'll almost always be informed of the decision (by email or post) before it shows up in ECAS.

IvanP....thanks...this sums up nicely the worth of Ecas..that's the message Ive gotten from the reading Ive done here...sad really cause it could be such a useful mode to convey information...I suppose though updating the information to Ecas would mean work for someone that doesn't want to do it..

So I am apparently not alone in checking ecas "regularly" :o

Just saw an update today that said "medical results have been received"...

Does that mean that the application has been received by the Visa office as well? I mean wouldn't they need an application to determine if the medical results match an application? Am I thinking too rationally? ;D

mine still says "application received"...does that means that my application is still not with the VO yet? :(

Nope. No change only and simply means that ECAS doesn't show any changes. Your application could be behind a filing cabinet, in front of the visa officer, or already approved with COPR in your mailbox, and ECAS might not yet say "medical results have been received".

Learn to enjoy seeing "Application Received" because you will be seeing it for a long time. My app was sent August 1st last year and I am still "Application Received". And while people talk of PPR that will not change the status (I have my PPR). You will get "Medicals Received" but that is just an acknowledgement that they have them. The big ones to watch for will be "In-Process" and "Decision Made". But they will only come out close to visa time. You have a while to enjoy "Application Received" until then... :D

Sure - the CSQ spreadsheet is self-serve, so feel free to update it when you get your CSQ, but I put in your initial dates.

For some reason the CPP-Ottawa peeps kept messing with the spreadsheet formatting, so I had to limit editing rights, but the future Quebecois seem to be more chill. 8)
