APRIL 2013 Applicants!

for anyone following the other dreary thread we made just letting you guys know that we finally got our SA (after about 40 days) ;D--> seriously resisting the urge to dance right now. ;D

All praise be to God, now the true wait finally begins

so for anyone else who think its taking long, don't worry. We waited 40 days (10 days over the waiting period) but eventually (by Gods will) we did get it

can you add us to the time line? (Visa office: Islamabad)

App received- April 4th
AOR received- April 23rd
SA- May 15th (lol okay i'll stop)

I finally got my SA this morning, they must have heard all the complaining I was doing!
I'm so excited right now! ;D

Sponsorship - "Decision Made"?

Congrats to all of you who waited for these delayed SAs lately.

I have a question of huge importance to me. I haven't received any EMAIL, but I checked on-line services today and it said, in regards with the sponsorship application (stage 1):

Decision Made

"We sent you a letter on May 14, 2013 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."

That means they used regular mail. They have my e-mail address, they used it to send my AOR from CPC-M.

Should I be worried? I am, right now. Please share your thoughts with me.

It seems that too often CIC records applicants emails incorrectly, as was the case with me. If you read some of the earlier posts in this thread you will find others had the same thing happen. I had to call CIC and get them to correct my email address. Perhaps you should call them just to be sure. Best wishes for a successful and quick processing of your application.

Thanks Chala for the info. I would like to call them but we are both [sponsor and applicant] outside Canada and on the CIC website it says that the Call Centre can be accessed from within Canada only.

Now when I read my previous post i see that I wrote " I haven't received any EMAIL". I need to clarify that - I received my AOR by email, but haven't received anything regarding the decision by email. So they must have the correct email address, since they successfully used it once - that's what made me wonder what was going on.

As per your suggestion, I read the previous thread entries and found your posts and I've also read some other people's accounts of similar experiences. It was helpful to see that many people received positive decisions in that manner.

So I will rely on positive thinking, patience and advice from you guys.

Boom!! Just received our Sponsorship Approval email!! I haven't checked the website to see if it has been updated there but that letter is really all we need to celebrate this next step.
