How long does it take after getting the AOR to receive the SA?

i received mi SA a week later

I call the CIC today my application was received on 9 April 2013....Hope SA will come next week. Let's cross our fingers and good luck to everyone ;)

Hey everyone could you please help me respond to this post that an anonymous member asked me to post. Please spare some time to answer

"I was sponsored to canada by my ex-husband who was my cousin. Due to some family disputes, we never lived together in canada. He never showed any interest in me. I got divorce after a year and married to another person whom I met in Canada. My ex-husband complained against me in immigration. When I was called in for immigration hearing, I got confused and I said I lived with my ex-husband which was not true. they called me for hearing one after another. I told them the truth that family did not accept me and I never lived with him. Therefore, they blamed me for marriage of convience and misreprestation. before, I did not know that my husband can do inland sponsorship for me. now, I did not leave on the date they asked me to leave canada. I am not sure if my exclusion order will become deportation order. E cas shows my H&C and sporshorship is in process. I am not sure if they will process my application. Will they approve my application? Now, I am not only out of status but illegal."

Man they ask her to leave canada and she's stil there??? She might get in trouble. Even though her app show "in process" they can change it at any time due to the outcome of the hearing.

OOOPS....for some reason the system wont allow me to post a link...look around, there's a few spreadsheets around outlining timelines to the complete process...

Good luck!

that's because you have not yet posted 10 times. Once you have 10 posts, you can add links, and edit your profile, as well as send private messages. You'll be there soon!

Hi There

I sent sponsorship application on April 1st to CPC Mississauga. Application received on April 4th. AOR received on April 18th. I just checked e cas and status is Decision Made under sponsorship application status with following message .
We sent you a letter on April 23, 2013 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Permanent application status states ..We received Xxxxxxapplication for permanent residence on April 4, 2013.

What does this mean? Is my application approved or denied?

if you have a "straightforward case", then most likely, it's approved for the first stage. If they had doubts, they would ask for more document. So if you're sponsoring your spouse and you "qualify" ( either common-law, or married, or conjugal), then it's approved!
Check your email, including the spam folder. If you don't have anything there, then it means that CIC has sent you an actual letter, and you will probably get it in the next few days - depending on where you live of course.
This is the standard wording for CIC, and on ecas you can not see if it's approved or denied.

I checked my Ecas today and now it's updated to Decision Made for the Sponsor Aproval and that they have sent a letter informing me of the decision.

Okay so CIC-M received our application on April 4th 2013, my wife got the AOR on April 23rd at 2:00pm. still no SA :( I wouldn't be stressed out but her sister applied on the same day as us (same visa office and everything) and received both AOR and SA on April 26th. Just wondering why there's such a big gap for us?

did anyone else get both the 1st AOR and SA on the same day? It's day 7 now since we received the AOR and no SA yet :( our case was as straightforward as it can possibly get. no previous marriages, no dependents, i haven't even traveled outside my country before!

the stress is killing me! ecas just says 'application recieved'

At least this process is teaching us patience. ;D it's like waiting for your finals back or something :(

congrats to all those who got their SA :) just praying for ours to come through soon!
