Do u have valid TRV in ur passport when u send passport.

I do not have valid TRV in my passport. will this be an issue.

I got my work permit on Feb 10 and PPRF on Feb 20. So, i send my passport for my PR on Feb 22.

Not having TRV in passport will lead to any issues while issuing CoPR.

This is a question for those who got their PR cards,

I want to know how the two pictures requested with the PPR gonna be used. Are these the pictures in the PR card?

I have pictures that should be OK but I'm not quite sure if they will like them or not. Honestly, I do not wanna pay again for new passport pictures. What will happen if they did not like my pictures? Is this going to delay my PR visa on the passport or my PR cards?

I don't care about the PR cards. Once I did my landing, I will be considered landed immigrant. However, if this will delay my PR visa on the passport and then my landing date, I would pay that extra cost.

Any suggestions?

Hi Love-Canada,

I don't have valid TRV and currently I Am under implied status. So, being very honest I don't think it would be an issue at all. When did you send your passport. For me it took exactly two working weeks. Hopefully yours would be send this week. All the best..

Dear friends,

Got my passport stamped on Friday and landed today on peace bridge. It was quick and easy to find where to take the u turn. Also the officers were very friendly and completed their paper work and returned our passports in 15 mins. All they asked was for address proof, proof of funds and current status doc ( work permit). Great relief Thanks all for ur valuable comments. Good luck to all.

I think I missed that. How much do we need? Is there a document explaining this?

yes it is for the pr card and it is a different size than of the passport photo. if you send your passport sized photos they might send it back to you. it's worth to pay little bucks.

I landed on March 3rd on Peace bridge too. They only asked for proof of a canadian addrees! That is all, no proof of fund, so I guess it really doesn't matter how much money you have since you are already living in Canada. Although the office only asked what is my status currently in Canada, and I said I have work permit!
They ARE very nice and friendly ... so do NOT worry at all

Regarding Proof of Address, will any of these be acceptable as proof of address:
1. Credit Card statement
2. Service Canada Mails or
3. Bell/Rogers Telephone bills
4. Service Ontario mails

Congrats Sandeep !! That was quick, for Golnaz it took approximately 22 working days which is 4 weeks in total....
Has anyone else that you know of received passports from Ottawa in 2 weeks ? I always thought 4 weeks wait is just tooooo long
