It was really a long wait for me actually since Apr. 2007 Federal Skill Immigration ...

When the backlog & subsequent elimination took place, I had no other option but to apply CEC ...
Yet, when all was done CPP-OTTAWA issued/sent CoPRs on May 6,2013 through regular mail, it got lost in mail system which was untraceable whatsoever ...

Spending the whole month tried to communicate with CPP-OTTAWA just to ask how could we request to reissue CoPR ...
Finally got back to us and now is still waiting ... (guess how long I've been waiting) ... !!!

Still ...
Finger crossed to receive ASAP ...

Yahoo ... I'm now officially a Canadian Permanent Resident now ...

Finally received CoPR end of last week after almost month and half of communicating & waiting from CPP-OTTAWA ...
Did flagpole yesterday in Peach Arch (Seattle/BC Border) ...

Officers were very nice to greet us and the whole process took about 20 minutes (including waiting time) ...
Now the last thing to do will be to update SIN in Service Canada ...

Good luck to everybody here who are still in line waiting ...

I'm amazed and sorry to hear that PPRs even for April'12 applications are still pending.

Have you guys emailed CPP-ottawa - asking the status of your application?

And if you haven't done so already, please do make the online ATIP request - its the GCMS report. Perhaps one of the stages might still be in-progress which is delaying your PPR. The report will tell you which stages have Passed.

Strongly suggest to email CPP-OTTAWA to enquire your case update.
Take me for example, I emailed CPP-OTTAWA around May 28th 2013 to enquire my case update ...

In the meantime, I also filed GCMS note to get a close look of what's going on ...
Email replied by CPP-OTTAWA saying my CoPR was mailed out on May 6th 2013 ...

I was like @#$%^& ...
However, it was ended up lost in the mail system when CPP-OTTAWA sent by regular mail ...

Now that they're still on strike but do email them to express your concern as well ...

The officer (Who I did my landing) told me would take 4 weeks ~ 10 weeks (give & take), plus during strike period could possibly take longer ...

Hi Paulpaya,

Thank you for the message. Yes, I am emailing Ottawa every week. Last week they said that my application is in process. They are pretty good in replying emails. I emailed them on Monday afternoon and now I am waiting for their reply. I am emailing them religiously .

Hi, I just got in to this forum and started panicking when I read the timeline of your applications. We have applied ours last April 23, 2013 and we received AOR, May 2,2013. But after that, no more. We haven't received any medical request yet. It's been 15months already and I begin to worry now.

I assume you meant 2012, not 2013 when you wrote the dates.
I would suggest you order GCMS notes, you can do so online, and you can search this forum for this info.
The notes will give you an idea of what is going on with your application.
I applied a month after you and also am waiting for MR. Hang in there, hopefully some good news will come soon. But your case is definitely taking longer then 80% of the cases, which are finalized within 13 month. Keep your spirits up!
