Today I received a request from CIC to submit POLICE CLEARANCE for South Africa ..... It would be great if anyone here can share some info on getting South African PC....
I also received the Medical Request....

I have never stayed in South Africa for more than 5.5 months at a stretch....
I was there in 2004- 2005 August-Dec 2004...reported back to the company back hme and then came back to work from 19th January- 1st July 2005.....

Any help will be highly appreciated....

Hi everyone, glad to see most april applicants are on their way to being PRs, hope everyone else will before the year ends.. Im a May applicant and would like to ask a question, i got my MR request on oct 22 and did it oct 31st. My ECAS status still says IN PROCESS so i decided to email CPP-Ottawa if they have my med result on file and they responded saying that they have received it and will contact me about the next step in due time. So, i am hoping ill get it before christmas (would be the best christmas gift so far). Ive been working with my current employer for 4.5 years now and decided to find a diff employer back in Aug, (i applied for PR in May) i applied for work permit for the new employer on Oct 28th, based online, processing times is 58 days when i applied, so im also hoping to get that around christmas time. But im planning to resign from my current job on dec 21st. My question is, when i get my ppr and im no longer working with my current employer (say i didnt get my new work permit yet), is my current work permit, which will expire feb 2014, still be acknowledged by the immigration eventhough im no longer working with that company? Thanks so much in advance for those who could enlighten me on this!

What im saying is, what if i get my PPR before i get my new work permit with the new employer, and ive already quit the other job where i have a valid work permit, in short, im jobless. And i show them that work permit with the old employer, are they gonna acknowledge it? Or do i have to keep working with the old employer? Thanks again!

I'm not sure if you've resolved this issue, but you can always reply to the email that you received re: medical request with any follow up question or request. I emailed the VO to ask for an extension deadline to submit my PCC from Canada and the VO responded in 2 business days.

I asked for a 30-day extension and the VO approved it.

Yes, it was all done via email. I replied to the email through which the VO sent the document request but modified the subject line, and the VO replied to mine. The email I used for correspondence was OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca.

Hello All,

I got my PRR yesterday. My timeline is as follows :

App Filed - April 10
AOR Received - July 17th
Medicals Requested - Nov 1st.
Medicals Done - Nov 5th
PRR - 28th November.

Will send my passport to Detroit next week. As I am not currently in Canada, will wait for the visa to be stamped and shall plan my landing based on the CORP/ Visa validity.

Stangest thing is that My ECAS status is still 'In progress'.
